The manual imaging feature allows you to prepare and export documents for manual imaging. Your administrator downloads the documents, creates image files of the documents using a third-party tool, and then uploads the image files into the application.
Use the following procedure to submit documents for manual imaging.
1.In the List pane, select the check box next to the documents that you want to create image files of.
2.On the Tools menu, click Imaging.
3.In the Imaging window, select the Prepare for manual imaging check box.
4.In the Image type list, select an image type for the imaging output, such as TIFF, JPG, or PDF.
5.Optionally, in the Comments box, type additional information to display with your job.
6.Click Next.
7.On the Exclusions page, the documents that you selected for imaging are sorted by the number of documents that will be submitted for imaging and the number of documents that will not be submitted.
Note: A single document may be counted under multiple categories in either the Optional inclusions area or the Documents that must be excluded area. Documents that are counted in any of the categories in the Documents that must be excluded area are not counted in the Optional inclusions area.
Do the following:
oIn the Optional inclusions area, you can submit documents for imaging that would not be imaged by default. Select any of the following check boxes:
□Spreadsheet file type: The file extension of the documents is .xls, .xlsx, .xlt, .xlsb, .xlsm, or .csv.
□Locked in a production: The documents are in a locked production to which your group has at least read access.
□Corrupted: The documents have a value of Corrupted in the [Meta] Processing Exceptions field.
□Encrypted: The documents have a value of Encrypted in the [Meta] Processing Exceptions field.
□Empty (0 KB): The documents have a file size of 0 KB.
oIn the Documents that must be excluded area, you can view documents that are not included in the imaging job. Click a number to see the list of documents.
The following types of documents are excluded from imaging jobs:
□Includes annotations: The documents have one or more annotations to which your group has at least read access.
□Already submitted for imaging: The Imaging Status field value is either Submitted or Processing, or the [TOF] Image Request ID field has a value but the [TOF] Image Request field does not.
□Already imaged: The Imaging Status field value is either Completed or Completed with Warnings, or the [TOF] Image Request ID field has a value and the [TOF] Image Request field also has a value.
□Access denied: The documents are in a locked production to which you do not have access, or the documents have one or more annotations to which you do not have access.
□Has multiple pages: The documents contain multiple files that display in the Image viewer in the View pane.
8.Click Finish.
Your administrator downloads and converts the selected documents to the format that you specify and then uploads the image files. The resulting files replace the original files in the Image viewer.
