You log in to Ringtail using a single URL.
The appearance of the Ringtail login page varies based on how Ringtail authenticates you as a user. Ringtail can use its own authentication, Windows Active Directory authentication, or a third-party identity provider.
Important: Each time you log in, use the Ringtail URL provided by your administrator. If you access the login page through another URL, you might see an error message.
Use the following procedure to log in to Ringtail.
1.In a web browser, type the Ringtail link provided by your administrator.
2.On the login page, do one of the following:
a.Type your user name and password, and then click Log In.
b.If you see only the User name text box, do the following:
i.Type your user name and click Next.
Tip: To return to the previous page, click the left arrow button next to the Log in button.
ii.Type your password, and then click Log in.
Note: If the password management feature, which allows you to change or reset a forgotten or expired password, is enabled for your environment, see Manage your password. If you type the wrong password too many times, you might have to wait five minutes before trying to log in again.
c.If your administrator configures an additional identity provider for authentication, click the link you see to log in using that identity provider.
3.If your administrator configures your account to require two-factor authentication, Ringtail directs you to a page where you select an authentication method for your user account that uses, for example, a mobile phone or a temporary passcode. Two-factor authentication can be used with Ringtail, AD, or identity provider authentication.
4.If prompted, review and accept the end user license agreement.
After you log in, the Portal Home page appears.
Note: You can bookmark the URL for the Portal Home page, but avoid using a bookmark for the login page.
5.Click a case name to access the Case Home page for a case. For more information about the Case Home page, see Navigate the interface.
Note: If the link for a case is not active, then your access has been restricted by certain days and times.
Use the following procedure to log out of Ringtail.
●On the user name menu on the navigation bar, click Log Out, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: After you log out, close all web browser windows and open a new browser before logging in again.
