The worker case limit is the maximum number of Ringtail Processing Framework (RPF) workers that can run for a single case for the worker type. This limit mitigates the impact of large job submissions from a single case on jobs from other cases. Changing the worker case limit can help with job priority, performance, and resource management.
The organization worker limit is the maximum number of workers that can run across an organization, regardless of worker type.
Administrators can set both case and organization limits for workers on the Portal Management > Processing > Workers page. The total number of available workers appears in parentheses next to the Workers link in the navigation pane. The name of each worker and the current default limit for each worker also appear on the page.
Use the following procedure to change the worker case limit for one or more workers.
1.On the Portal Home page, under Portal Management, click Processing.
2.In the navigation pane, click Workers.
3.Select the check box next to one or more worker names and click Edit.
4.In the Edit case worker dialog box, type a value in the Case worker limit box, and then click Save.
For any worker type, you can set the limit for the maximum number of workers that can run across an organization.

oIn the Requestor box, type the name of the requestor, for tracking purposes.
oIn the Start date and End date lists, select the dates that the workers can be added to the limit for the burst.

On the Organizations page for the worker, the number of burst workers becomes a link in the Current burst workers column. Click the link to open the Bursts window, which displays a summary of the burst details.
Note: If multiple bursts are scheduled for the same organization during the same time period, Ringtail uses the highest designated burst value.
