You can filter the transcripts that appear in the transcripts list.
You can also search for keywords or phrases within a transcript.
You can filter the transcripts that appear in the transcripts list by various criteria, including transcript type, transcript annotations, or content in the text of a transcript.
You can apply multiple filters to the list of transcripts. You can filter based on annotations or by content, and at the same time, you can filter by one or more columns in the transcripts list, such as the transcript type.
A filter status at the top of the transcripts list indicates whether any filters are applied to the list of transcripts. When all transcripts that you have access to appear in the transcripts list, the filter status is All Transcripts. If filters are applied, the filter status indicates which filters are applied. An example of a filter status showing that multiple filters are applied is shown in the following figure.
You can filter transcripts based on one or more columns in the transcripts list, such as the transcript type or the number of annotations.
Use the following procedure to filter transcripts based on columns in the transcripts list.
1.On the Case Home page, on the Case Home menu, select Transcripts.
2.In the transcripts list, hover over the name of the column that you want to filter by, such as transcript type, and then click the arrow.
3.Point to Filter. Select an operator from the list, and then type the value that you want to filter by in the box.
4.Click Apply.
5.Repeat the previous steps to filter by additional columns, as necessary.
The transcripts that include the selected values appear in the transcripts list.
You can filter transcripts by annotation, including the transcript issue (highlight type), note category and content, or the name of the reviewer who added the annotation.
Use the following procedure to filter transcripts by annotation.
1.On the Case Home page, on the Case Home menu, select Transcripts.
2.In the transcripts list, click Annotations.
3.To filter based on transcript issues (highlight types), select from the following:
oIssues: The transcript issue that is added to a transcript. To display transcripts that include any transcript issue, select All Issues.
oAnnotated By: The name of the reviewer who added the transcript issue.
4.To filter based on notes, select from the following:
oNote Categories: The note category that is associated with a note. To display transcripts that include any note category, select All Note Categories.
oNote Content: A word or phrase in the contents of a note. You can search the contents of the first note that is added to an annotation, but not the contents of any replies to the note.
oAnnotated By: The name of the reviewer who added the note.
5.If the filter includes transcript issues and notes, select a search operator, such as And or Or.
6.Click Apply.
The transcripts that include the annotations appear in the transcripts list.
7.To see which pages in a transcript include the selected annotations, do the following:
a.In the transcripts list, click a number in the Annotations Hits column.
The Annotations Hits tab appears in the transcript summary pane.
b.To open a specific transcript page, click a Page/Line number.
You can filter transcripts based on content, such as a keyword or phrase.
For information about how to search for content within a transcript, see Search for content in a transcript.
Use the following procedure to filter transcripts by content.
1.On the Case Home page, on the Case Home menu, select Transcripts.
2.In the transcripts list, click Find.
3.In the box, type a word or phrase.
For information about how to refine your search query using search operators, see Search query syntax for search boxes.
4.Click Apply.
The transcripts that include the content appear in the transcripts list.
5.To see which pages in a transcript include the selected annotations, do the following:
a.In the transcripts list, click a number in the Find Hits column.
The Find Hits tab appears in the transcript summary pane.
b.To open a specific transcript page, click a Page/Line number.
To display all of the transcripts that you have access to, you can clear the filters that are applied to the transcripts list.
When all filters are removed from the transcripts list, a filter status of All Transcripts appears at the top of the transcripts list.
Use the following procedure to clear filters from the transcripts list.
1.On the Case Home page, on the Case Home menu, select Transcripts.
2.If the transcripts list is filtered by one or more columns in the transcripts list, a filter status of Filtered Transcripts appears at the top of the transcripts list, and a filter icon appears in the heading of the column that is filtered. Do the following:
a.Hover over the filter icon in the column heading, and then click the arrow.
b.Point to Filter, and then click Remove.
c.Repeat the previous steps to clear the filters on additional columns, as necessary.
3.If the transcripts list is filtered by transcript issues (highlights) or notes, a filter status of Annotations Filter appears at the top of the transcripts list. Do the following:
a.In the transcripts list, click Annotations.
b.Click Clear.
4.If the transcripts list is filtered by content, a filter status of Find Filter appears at the top of the transcripts list. Do the following:
a.In the transcripts list, click Find.
b.Click Clear.
When you are reviewing a transcript, you can search the content of the transcript for keywords or phrases, and then display highlights over the results.
Use the following procedure to search for content in a transcript.
1.To open a transcript, do the following:
a.On the Case Home page, on the Case Home menu, select Transcripts.
b.In the transcripts list, click a transcript.
2.In the transcript viewer, click Find.
The Find tab appears.
Note: If you filtered the transcripts list based on content, the search term appears on the Find tab of the transcript viewer.
3.Type a word or phrase in the box.

4.Click Apply.
Ringtail highlights the results on each page of the transcript.
Tip: To clear the search highlights from the transcript, click Clear.
