You can communicate with other reviewers by adding and replying to notes in a document. For example, you can use a note to ask your review lead a question about a document, and your review lead can add a reply to the note.
You can search for documents with notes. If your administrator or review lead configures note categories, you can also search for notes based on the note category.
You can work with notes in the following ways:
●Add a note to a document
●Add a note to a specific document page
●Edit or reply to a note
●Delete a note
Access to existing notes depends on your feature access and group.

You can add a note that applies to an entire document.
Use the following procedure to add a note to a document.
1.Select a document.
2.In the Code pane, click the Code single document button.
3.On the All Values menu, click Notes.
4.Click New Note.
5.In the Category list, select a category for the note.
6.By default, notes can be viewed by other users. If you want to hide the note from other users, select the Private check box.
Note: Administrators can view private notes.
7.In the text box, type the contents of the note.
Tip: To make it easier for other reviewers to search for your note, avoid using abbreviations or acronyms.
8.Click Save.
You can add a note to a specific page in a document, if the document contains a PDF or image file.

Tip: To speed up the document annotation process, you can use keyboard shortcuts instead of the mouse. For information about the available keyboard shortcuts, see Keyboard shortcuts.
Use the following procedure to add a note to a specific document page.
1.Select a document.
2.In the View pane, click the Image viewer button.
3.On the Image viewer toolbar, click the Note button.
Note: If the Image viewer toolbar is not visible, click the arrow on the side of the Image viewer pane to expand the toolbar. The Image viewer toolbar is disabled for files that cannot be annotated.
4.Click the location in the document where you want to add the note.
5.In the Category list, select a category for the note.
6.By default, notes can be viewed by other users. If you want to hide the note from other users, select the Private check box.
Note: Administrators can view private notes.
7.In the text box, type the contents of the note.
8.Click Save, and then click Close.
Use the following procedure to edit or reply to an existing note.
1.Select a document.
2.Depending on which pane you are working in, select from the following:
oTo edit or reply to a note in the Code pane:
i.Click the Code single document button.
ii.On the All Values menu, click Notes.
oTo edit or reply to a note in the View pane:
i.Click the Image viewer button.
ii.Navigate to the page that contains the note.
iii.Click the Pointer/Select button, and then double-click the note.
3.Select from the following:
oTo edit a note, click Edit. Make any edits, and then click Save.
oTo reply to a note, click Reply. Type a reply, and then click Save.
Use the following procedure to delete a note.
1.Select a document.
2.Depending on which pane you are working in, select from the following:
oTo delete a note in the Code pane:
i.Click the Code single document button.
ii.On the All Values menu, click Notes.
iii.Click Delete.
oTo delete a note in the View pane:
i.Click the Image viewer button.
ii.Navigate to the page that contains the note.
iii.Click the Pointer/Select button, and then click the note.
iv.Click the Delete button.
Note: If a note is part of a thread, first delete any replies to the note.
