In a traditional coding template, all relevant coding items appear independently, with equal weight. The values in one item do not affect whether other items must be coded.
If many documents should be coded with the same values, you can speed up the review process by providing suggested coding values. Users can copy the suggested values to the coding fields on a document.
Before you start, create the items that you want to add to the coding template, such as fields, binders, issues, and so on. For information about how to create items that can be coded, see Introduction to Case Setup.

9.To add an item to the template, in the left pane, select or search for an item on the various tabs. Then, drag the item to the right pane.
Note: If you include an item on multiple coding templates, reviewers can code the item from each template. The value that applies is the most recently coded value.
10.To require reviewers to code an item, select the check box in the Mandatory column (the column with the asterisk).
11.Optionally, you can allow reviewers to code an item with a suggested value. In the Default Value column, provide a suggested value. Suggested values appear in the Code pane as hints. For more information about hints, see Code documents using hints.
12.Repeat the previous steps to add additional items or sections to the template.
13.To rearrange items, drag the handle on an item to move a row up or down. To rearrange all items in a section, drag the handle next to the section name.
