You can reset a forgotten or expired password if password management is enabled. Depending on your environment, you can manage and reset your password using one of the following methods:
●Manage your password using Ringtail authentication
●Manage your password using Windows authentication
If your Ringtail environment uses Ringtail authentication and the password management feature is enabled in your environment, after you log in, Ringtail prompts you to select five challenge questions and provide answers to those questions. If you later need to reset your password, you must first correctly answer three of your five challenge questions. This topic provides steps to set and manage your password.
Note: You only set challenge questions and answers once per Ringtail portal. If you have access to multiple portals, you must set challenge questions and answers for each portal.
Use the following procedure to set challenge questions and answers, in case you need to reset your password in the future.
1.Log in to Ringtail.
2.On the Challenge Questions page, select five challenge questions and provide answers.

oAnswers must have a minimum of five characters.
oAnswers cannot contain only numbers.
oAnswers are not case-sensitive.

Note: If any of your answers do not meet the requirements, you will be prompted to change them.
A status message indicates that your questions and answers have been updated, and you are automatically redirected to the Ringtail site.
