Ringtail concept analysis ranks content files associated with a document based on file type extensions. To emphasize the importance of certain file types over others, you set the ranking of file types at the portal level. For example, you can set Word documents (.doc, .docx) to rank highest, and text files (.txt) to rank lowest in importance during analysis. The file type ranking order also affects the hit highlighting and content views. Only the highest-ranked file appears in the hit highlighting and content views.
Only system administrators can add, move, and delete the default file type ranking for a portal.
This order becomes the default ranking order for new cases unless you change the file type rank at the case level. For more information, see Work with content file type rank in a case.
