You can print only locked productions. In this step, image files are printed with the permanent footers and redactions visible. Any native or text files identified for production are copied from the base to the rendition document.
Use the following procedure to print a production.
1.On the Case Home page, under Manage Documents, click the Productions link.
2.In the Productions list, click the name of a locked production.
4.In the Print production dialog box, you can do one or more of the following optional tasks:
oIn the Comment box, type a comment.
oUnder Footer width modify the footer widths using the sliders.
oIn the Footer Height box, type a percentage. The default is 5.
oIn the Font Size box, type a number between 6 and 72. The default is 18.

On the Productions page, the processing symbol replaces the locked symbol beside the name of the production. The processing symbol indicates that the printing job has been submitted to the Ringtail Processing Framework (RPF).
6.To view the status of the job, click the production name, and then open the History page. The History page contains information about printed documents and any production errors. For more information about the History page, see View production job history.
You can verify printing results and identify print job errors in several ways.
Production printing requires two Ringtail jobs: Production Print and Production Printing. You should verify that both of these jobs have completed in the Processing dashboard before continuing with any additional production steps. For more information, see Jobs.
You can review print statistics on the History page of the production to confirm that all documents have completed the printing process. For more information, see View production job history.
Another option to view results after printing is to view the renditions created from the locked production.
Use the following procedure to check printing results.
1.On the Case Home menu, select Production Pages.
2.Select the production.
3.The locked version of the production appears, along with the results in the rendition level you created for the production.
Note: The production pages view will only show rendition records where pages exist. Any document produced as a native file without a placeholder will not appear in this view.
When running a print job, the job may fail or may not print all files as needed.
When a production print completes and not all documents within the production printed successfully, the RPF job status changes to “Succeeded with warnings.” On the production’s History page, an error message appears for the print job and contains links to rendition documents that did not print successfully.
You can also use the search feature to identify any documents that do not have a value of Printed.
Use the following procedure to identify documents that encountered printing errors using the search feature.
1.Access the Search page.
2.In the Select a field box, select Production Print Status.
3.In the Select an operator box, select is.
4.In the Select a value box, select Error Printing.
5.Press Enter or click outside the box. A list of documents that encountered printing errors appears.
The following tips may help with additional troubleshooting.
●To successfully print a rendition document that appears with a Queued status, on the Documents page, use the Code pane to change the Production Print Status field to Not Printed. For more information about using the Code pane, see Code documents.
